London bridge is falling down

昨天倫敦又被恐怖份子襲擊﹐前周未解的疑惑又重新被激起來了。 話說上周倫敦第一次被恐怖襲擊后﹐ 第二天早上在聽電台DJ談起這首從小就會的童謠"London bridge is falling down"﹐ 他說因為現在有了911后的恐怖經驗又加上倫敦地下鐵被炸彈襲擊后﹐ 令人懷疑這童謠是不是恐怖份子的主題曲。
經由Google 搜索后 ﹐ 查知這是一首流傳近700年的韻文﹐主要是描述London bridge 從十一世紀起的毀壞和重建時使用的材資。 又根據其中一個網站提供的解說﹐每次重建橋梁時﹐為了平撫水靈的擾亂﹐所以必須獻出犧牲品﹐而主要都是小孩。所以它所說的my fair lady難道是指那被犧牲的小孩﹖
我們平常聽到的僅是第一部分﹐ 完整歌詞很長。
